Tidepool Sign Up Process

After logging in to the MyWay Diabetes platform click on “Your Health Record”.

From the “My Profile” menu select “Connect Device”.

Click on the “Sign up” link and then follow the steps below.

To set up your tidepool account, navigate to the tidepool website: www.tidepool.org
1. Then click on the sign up button at the top right hand of the page.

1. Select personal account.
2. Click continue.

1.  Fill out your personal details.
2.  Then click on “Create Personal Account”.

You will then be sent an email from tidepool to activate your account, please go the email and click on the link provided.

Clicking on the email link will bring you to this page.
1. Enter your password.
2. Click on login.

1. Select the relevant option.
2. Then click continue.

Then click "Yes, let's set it up".

You are then taken to a page where you can download the tidepool uploader app for your personal computer. Select and install the app.

After installing the tidepool uploader app on your personal computer, open the app.

1. Enter your personal details that you registered with.
2. Then click on login.

1. Fill out your personal details, such as date of birth.
2. Type of diabetes.
3. Then click save.

You will then be presented with a list of devices, please scroll down and
1. Select the device you use and
2. Then click on done.

1. Then select your time zone.
2. Attach your glucose meter to your computer via a USB cable.
Then click on upload.

Your data will then upload.

Now go back to the Tidepool website and click on “Share”.

Then click on the Share Data button.

1. Select “Share for a Care Team Member”.
2. Type the email: info@mwdh.co.uk
3. Untick the “Allow upload of data”.
4. Click “Invite Member”.

Go back to the MyWay Diabetes site and:
1. Tick this box to confirm consent.
2. Insert the email address of your Tidepool account.
3. Click this button to pair the account.

Once accepted by MyWay Digital Health you will see your status set to “Sharing”.

Anytime you wish to upload data from your glucose meter from now on, you simply need to:
1. Open the tidepool app 2. Plug you meter into the cable and attach to your computer.
The data will automatically be shared with MyWay Diabetes, there is no need to go through data share steps again.
